Cookies
Bake at 350
F for 12 – 14 minutes
2/3 cup real butter 1 cup grated
cheddar cheese
2/3 cup granulated sugar 1 ½
cups uncooked oatmeal
1 egg ½ cup chopped nuts
1 teaspoon vanilla ½ cup raisins
1 cup flour 6 slices bacon (fried
crisp & crumbled)
½ teaspoon salt ½ teaspoon
baking soda
In large mixing bowl, beat
softened butter, sugar, egg and vanilla. Beat in flour, salt,
& baking soda. Stir in remaining ingredients. Drop by
teaspoon onto greased cookie sheet. ( Mary R says she just makes small
balls about the size of a marble and they come out a good size. )

Carolina's East Low Country District meeting. Mary R was able to get
the recipe through help from her Garden Club friends who were at the
