Chicken & Sausage Casserole

1 large fryer chicken

1 box long grain wild rice

1 lb hot sausage

1 onion

2 cans mushroom soup

1 cup buttered bread crumbs    

Cook a large fryer in 2 ½ cups of water.  Pull meat from bone.  Cook a box of long grain wild rice, in broth.  Cook 1 lb. hot sausage.  Sauté 1 onion in sausage grease.  Mix with 2 cans mushroom soup.  Put in Pyrex casserole dish.  Sprinkle with buttered bread crumbs.  Cook at 350o until bubbly.
