Mimbee's Taco Soup

1 or 2 lb ground beef or venison

1 pkg dry Ranch dressing mix

1 or 2 pkgs Taco Seasoning mix

1 16 oz can black beans un-drained

1 16 oz can kidney beans un-drained

1 16 oz can pinto beans un-drained

2 cans stewed diced tomatoes (or 1 can stewed & 1 can Rotel or 1 can stewed & 1 can plain diced tomatoes)

2 cans whole corn un-drained

2 cups water                                           

Brown meat and add all other ingredients.  Simmer at least 30 minutes.  If desired, stir in a tablespoon or 2 of cornmeal to thicken.  (Need to simmer about 10 minutes after adding cornmeal.)  

Serve with a dollop of sour cream, cheddar cheese and taco chips.  Great for a youth group, ballgame watching party, etc. Freezes well to have on hand for a quick supper.
